Be A Volunteer
Volunteer Opportunities To All Populations
So many times only adults are welcome in a "volunteer capacity".  Well, at BAHBAD (Be A Hero, Become A Donor), we believe that even children have the capability to make a difference when it comes to "teaching" others about "recycling their body".  And while in California you have to be 13 to join the Donate Life Registry, 16 to donate Blood (with parent permission), and 18 to join the Be The Match Registry, everyone can learn about donation and look forward to that birthday that allows them to actively participate.  We encourage young people to start BAHBAD clubs at their schools, similar to Red Cross Clubs, have their organizations embrace our cause, host Donor Drives, as well as volunteering at drives in their area.

Online Marrow Donor Drive
Online "Be The Match" Registry Donor Drive: Now thru May 31st, 2009
Please join us in honoring Evan.  You can join the National Marrow Donor Program's "Be the Match" registry by going to the NMDP Website.  Follow the instructions for joining the registry and when prompted enter this promo code: "bah0509"
We are asking you contribute at least $25.00 towards the tissue typing fee of $52.00.  Remember that any money not paid toward the $52 fee is coming from the "Be A Hero Become A Donor Foundation".  While we are here to assist with the tissue typing cost, if you can afford the fee, please pay it so we have money to fund those who are committed but do not have the means to pay.
